今回の発見は、他の研究成果に比して、何か新しい利点があるのだろうか。
しかし、触媒ってのはどうしてこうも高価な金属ばかり必要なんでしょうな。
上の話で使われているロジウムは、最近比較的安価な代替手段が見つかったた [jst.go.jp]ようですけど。

ハーバー・ボッシュ法とか、使い捨てカイロとか、光を当てると汚れが分解する壁とかの触媒はありふれた物質ですね。

希少な材質じやなければそこらで反応が見られて新発見にならないからじゃないかな
